You won't want to miss this one.......And sorry to bring this up, but due to the nature of this sale....there are many, many priceless antiques....I will have to ask you to leave your children under 12 at home. OK.....I will admit it. I am a "Trophy Hunter!!!" When I find a piece of used furniture at a sale.....or in the dumpster......or any of the other places that I haunt.....and whether it is an antique or something more recent, my heart skips a beat. Then my mind races through the repertoire of ideas for repurposing, rejuvenating, recreating, renewing or reinventing and refashioning, then redoing it only to rediscover what a piece has the potential to be. The thrill of the hunt is really an amazing feeling. Then the feeling that comes when the piece turns into something that I can't believe that I lived for so long without.......well......there is nothing quite like it!

Now you too can experience "The Trophy Hunt!" At the WildHare Antique Sale and FleaMarket......Saturday, October 23rd 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Sunday, October 24th 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Bannock County Fairgrounds in Pocatello. Many of your favorite local antique dealers will be there, including, but not limited to (of course because I don't know who your personal favorites are) Her Alibi Antique Store, PK Enterprises, Angels and Old Lace, Haf and Haf Antiques, and many more. If I start really naming names I am sure to leave someone out and I don't want to do that!!! I can assure you though......you will have lots of potential trophies to sort through. As most of you know....we don't just have antiques there....You can find anything collectible.....vintage lace to vintage tools....books....glass...jewelry......fishing equipment....all of the ephemera you can think of.....and much, much more. You will just have to come and feast your eyes and go on the hunt! Don't forget...you can also buy new products there....bags to benches.......jewelry to candles....

You will also be able to have lunch there......provided by a Rodeo Queen fundraiser from firth. Treats and beverages also available.

If you have questions or want more details....please call me.......251.4984! See you there........By the way......there is a $1 admission with kids under 12 free with an adult......

There is absolutely no way to explain in a few words about the estate sale that I am working on........It is massive! I think that you will all be amazed......that is the only word for it......really......amazingly amazing.!! It doesn't matter if you collect vintage pottery or antique horse gear....you will be able to find it at this sale. Along with more glassware than you see in most antique stores...furniture that will make your eyes water.......and everything in between! I love going to this house and working on this estate! How lucky is that? A beautiful home to work in.......perfect setting.....and the loveliest antiques that I have ever seen. Talk about having the wants.....How could I not want everything there? Including the house!! I can hardly wait to share it all with you.......please save the date when I can finally set it!!! Until then......just know that it is everything and more than I have told you!

Between now and the estate sale (which will probably at least start in November) I am having the WildHareAntique Sale and FleaMarket. October 23rd and 24th......watch the paper and tv for the ads....And watch for new posters up in lots of places. My son-in-law, the artist....is working on a new one for me as we speak. I can hardly wait to see it myself...Save the Date cards will be available at most of the Antique Stores around town and if I can sit still for a bit I may even have a contest (at those same antique stores) to win some Gift Certificates for the flea market......to be spent at any of the vendors there!!! I actually haven't talked to the antique store owners yet! I am fairly certain that they will like the idea though.......Any of you dealers out there with an opinion?!!!

I would also like to take a short (in days) trip to California. Lots of my family will be at Disneyland the week after the WHFM and I would love to fly out to spend a bit of time with them.....sounds like a perfect time to go to Disneyland too.......last time was in the middle of the summer and it was crowded, but fun......Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can make all of that work!!!

Well my feet are killing me.....I have been on them for hours and hours the last couple of weeks......and I am too tired to think.........

So.........to be continued........

P.S. I still have the garage and shop full of stuff.......anyone interested in some furniture? I think that I am taking the smaller items to auction.......Furniture includes, but not limited to: A darling twin bedroom set.....tables.....an old wooden file cabinet.....shabby chic dresser.....lamps....and more....maybe I will have a sale in a week or so. Maybe not though.........I'll keep you all posted!!!

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

Wow.......can't remember the last time I got to just sit......I am looking forward to it though, I know that! Don't get me wrong.....I am filled with gratitude that I have a busy and happy life........it's just that all work and no play does make Linda a dull girl!

Working on my second estate sale of the month.....Contracts in the mail today for the WildHare Antique Sale and FleaMarket coming up October 23rd and 24th.....I sure hope that isn't the Sunday that the Extreme Makeover Home Edition airs......Anyway, be sure to let me know if you wanted a contract and didn't get one. Making plans for our second Art and Gift Show and Sale in November.....thinking of a new name...last year we called it WildHare and the Crafty Girls....which I did think was cute......maybe the WildHare Art Affair?! Any suggestions? Also looking for a new venue......any suggestions for that too?

I am also looking at a whole garage full of furniture waiting to be either refinished or painted. How did that happen again? I thought for sure that this winter (this is the fourth winter that I have said this) we would be able to once again park our cars in the garage. I wonder how many times I have overheard this conversation between my husband and whomever will listen, "I sure hope that this winter I can park our $40,000 worth of vehicles in the garage and put the $200 worth of stuff that is in there somewhere else!" I guess that he thinks that I haven't noticed the walk way closing in on us again!!! Maybe this coming week I will work on that......anyone want to help????

I have heard from several of you commenting on the Coconut Cupcakes.....glad that they were a hit in your homes. I didn't make them even though I was hungry for them after talking about them so much. I did make a huge batch of the world's best caramel corn and I think other than one bag that I gave to a gal at Office Max for saving me some great boxes, I ate the rest of it.......YUMMMMMY.......Best seller of all time at bake sales. (I did have some of my friend Barbie's though and it was pretty darn good and lots prettier than mine.....)

Time to call it a night.......really......I am going to spend a few minutes just sitting after all tonight.......it is a new moon and so it seems a good way to bring in the new month.......

Coconut Cupcakes!!!

These cupcakes are my most requested treat and recipe.......yummmmmmy.......

3/4 pound unsalted butter at room temp
2 cups sugar
5 extra large eggs at room temperature
1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla
1 1/2 tsp pure almond extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
14 ozs sweetened, shredded coconut.

Preheat oven to 325.
In the bowl of an electric mixer with a paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. With the mixer running on low, add the eggs one at a time scraping down the bowl after each addition. Add the vanilla and almond extracts and mix well.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In three parts, alternately add the dry ingredients and the buttermilk to the batter, beginning and ending with the dry. Mix until just combined. (If you mix too long your cupcakes won't rise correctly and they will be too dense.) Fold in 7 ounces of coconut.
Line a muffin pan with paper liners. Fill each cup 3/4 full with batter. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes until tops are brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes. Remove to a baking rack and cool completely. Frost with cream cheese icing and sprinkle with the remaining coconut.
Makes 18 to 20 large cupcakes.

Cream Cheese Frosting

1 pound cream cheese at room temperature
3/4 lb unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond
1 1/2 lb confectioner's sugar, sifted

In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, blend together the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla and almond extracts. Add the confectioner's sugar and mix until smooth.
Hint.......it is easier to frost the cupcake with a generous amount of frosting, and trust me, you will have plenty.....pour the coconut in a bowl and dip the frosted cupcake in the coconut. Way easier than trying to sprinkle it on top! I also usually buy the unsweetened flakes in the produce aisle in the grocery store for the top.....it is beautiful and the finished product isn't quite so sweet. Either way.......this is the best cupcake ever!
It is very important that the cream cheese and the butter are at room temp and that the sugar is sifted to ensure no lumps in the icing........This is really the best icing ever and I use it on almost all flavors of cupcakes........Especially good on Red Velvet!!

My homemaking job!!

Do you ever wish
that just for one day
you had a job that stayed finished?

Me too........I tried to tell my husband once
that he would hate my job because everyday
you have to start all over again.......

Nothing stays finished.......

Maybe I need to sew more and polish less......

when we grew up.
I said I wanted to be happy.
She said that I didn't understand the assignment.

I said that she didn't understand life." Dr Joseph Mercola

The Party's over!!

May I say.......I worked with some really great people over the weekend!! People that before this past month I had never even met.......now I have some great new friends. And of course some of my best old (not in age necessarily) friends. Vendors that come from all over the place to help me put on an event......My plan?! To grow bigger and bigger each year......bringing in travelers from all over. And why not? I have been to events in cities 1/10 as big as Pocatello and they bring in 70,000 - 80,000 people for a two day event!!! That has a nice ring to it don't you think???!! Any ideas from my friends out there? I would love suggestions.......

Looking forward to a fleamarket in October.......somewhere......and an Art & Gift Market in November......hopefully down town......plans are in the works and it sounds fun, fun, fun. Fortunately for me.....I have an awesome young man who is willing to assist me in the planning and the execution of a great event......let me know if you are interested in participating. It will undoubtedly be a juried show so start taking pictures and the aps will be in the mail shortly.......

Too tired......I am fading.........almost melting......tomorrow is another big day. It will start with my physical therapy appointment at 8:00 AM.....may be the high point of my day.......Then back to work at Curves......yippee.......I love it there!!!

For those of you who were part of the WildHare Summer Festival, thanks so much.......what a lucky woman I am to have more supportive people in my life than I probably deserve, but am grateful for none-the-less.......I am looking forward to the next one already. I compare it to my kids when there were little and said things like......"Next year on Halloween I am going to be a _______" and we hadn't even finished the current year's Halloween! Or my other all time favorite on the day of the birthday party........."Next year I want a ________ (you fill in the blank) party!!" You have all heard those lines haven't you? Well.........the next WildHare Summer Festival, I am going to _____________________________!!! Awesome.........

The Countdown has officially begun.......

So.........is it muggy tonight or am I just sweatin' up a storm? I think that it is the latter! Dang.......

And........can it be that there are only two days in between today and Thursday when the WildHare Summer Festival and Outdoor Market begins? And, that one of those days.....Wednesday, I have to be up at the venue all day telling people where to go? (Actually, that is my favorite part!) And...can it also be that I have about 4,000 things that need to get done in those two days? Tonight I painted my wooden sandwich boards to make new signage.......after all, it wouldn't do to send everyone to the fairgrounds two days after my event starts now would it?! So, at 9:00 PM......(yes, that is PM:) I was at Lowe's having paint mixed. And may I just say that I love the new paints with the primer in them? I painted blue over bright orange with black letters with no less than staggering results!! You'll see! They will be quite fetching and attention grabbing.......i hope?! So that is a big Yay and Yippee for Valspar! By the way, I matched a vintage mixing bowl for the color.......very chic!

Tomorrow I should have my stencil in hand to spray the lettering on.......I would love to do vinyl as I love that look, but not very cost effective........and probably more labor intensive as well........I have to go on the cheap for signage........

Sorry......now for the commercial:

WildHare Summer Festival & Outdoor Market
Thursday, July 22nd 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.......
Friday, July 23rd 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM.....
Saturday, July 24th......and believe me.......I do know that it is the 24th of July!!!
9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

The items for sale will be as varied as the vendor, but you can always count on there being something for even the most discriminating collector/buyer. There will be lots of yummy foods there plus beverages of all description. Treats galore.........

Wear a hat and comfy shoes. It is kind of rocky terrain........

Thursday at the venue we will be excited to hear Layce Whitworth, Nashville Recording Artist who will be singing and selling his CD's........the concert is free.......come support one of our local boys. It is also the Chamber After Hours being hosted by the Pocatello Convention and Visitors Bureau.......Lots going on with that.

Gotta be done.........I have a few more things to finish up tonight.........still holding out hope that my sister Merry gets here from Reno so that she can take up the slack.......but for now, I am going to pull out a few of my Wild Hairs and get that over with.......and then move on........

In the immortal words of one of my favorites........Eyore.........Thanks for noticing me.........

To be continued!!!

WildHare Summer Festival (aka FleaMarket)

So.......If I could have called the WildHare Summer Festival a FleaMarket......this would have been the poster......and yes......I had it printed just like this......then I remembered that we can't call it a flea market.....so.........dang it all.......back to the printer!!! I also can't say that it is being held at the Fort Hall Replica. It is behind the replica at Pocatello Junction and Frontier Town........so......that is changed on the new poster as well........The point is......I have posters that I am putting around town.....look for them and then come to the Festival.........

Saturday, July 3, 2010

P.S.

The WildHare Summer Festival is being held at Pocatello Junction & Frontier Town at the Fort Hall Replica in Upper Ross Park.......Thursday, July 22nd from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM......The Pocatello Convention & Visitors Bureau will be there hosting the Chamber After Hours!! Lots of fun planned. KZBQ will be there doing a live remote. On Friday the 23rd our hours will be 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Lots of yummy foods for your dining pleasure!! Saturday, the 24th our hours will be 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM. There will be more family activities and again lots of food.......music.......a really good time for everyone.......

If......

If I hadn't taken up painting, I would have raised chickens. It's all art! Grandma Moses......This has to be one of my favorite quotes eeevvvveeeerrrrrrr! Not that I am a painting painter....but an everything else painter! In fact, I just found a new color that has to be my new all time favorite color.......They are painting the new Thai Restaurant in downtown Pocatello this color......So, it is a Columbia Historic America Collection color called Cottage Green........I think! I'd have to look it up to be sure, but I am too lazy tonight. I am planning on painting everything that will hold still that color though.......Can't wait to have time to do it. Hmmmmm, I wonder when that might be.......maybe around August 8th! First project will have to be this sweet little chiffarobe that is currently painted red........which I love too, but will be awesomely awesome painted Cottage Green!! I will try to post before and after pics. (I know I have promised pics before.......I am just not much of a techie and sometimes I get too frustrated before I get them uploaded....)

The WildHare Summer Festival (I would call it a FleaMarket, but Pocatello doesn't allow fleamarkets on city property and I will be having it on city property......) is coming along nicely no matter what we call it. The music groups are lining up......food is going to be amazing...dealers that will have amazing stuff...Artists with their hmmmmm......with their art! Next week I will begin naming names.......Orrin Schwabb from Providence, Utah will be there buying old and rare books in case any of you have something that you would be interested in selling.......he does not buy any current books......just FYI. We have about an infinite amount of space at the "festival" so if any of you would like to participate.....you know how to find me. I am also paying for references that result in them renting a space.......I will be happy to give you the details. Please come and support our local dealers, artists, and food vendors.........you can make sooooo many people happy all on one day......including and even maybe especially me!!! See you there.......

WildHare Summer Festival/Art/Antiques/Fleamarket

Wow.......about a month from right now we will be at the Fort Hall Monument in Upper Ross Park getting ready to open up for our first full day at the WildHare Summer Festival/Art/Antiques/FleaMarket. I still have vendor space available if you know of anyone who would like to participate!!!

On Thursday the 22nd, we will have a preview in conjunction with the Chamber After Hours that the Pocatello Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting. We are open from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Free food and drinks and some fun activities. I hope you bring your families and come up to the Grand Opening of the show!

In case anyone is interested, on that Thursday night there will be a book dealer from the Logan area who will not only be selling books, but he is buying as well. If you have been holding on to some collectible books and haven't had a clue (like me) about how to sell them, then this could be your chance. He will even set up an appointment to come to your home and look at your books. I sold a bunch to him the other day when he was at my house and he is a great guy who came highly recommended! He was also kind enough to give me an idea of what some of the ones that I still have might be worth and whether or not they are collectible. It was a very informative day and I learned a lot about what to look for when I am buying as well as selling.......Come meet him.......Nice guy and I think he was really fair.......He knows a lot!!! And now I know more than I did before I met him......I'd also be happy to give you his contact information if anyone is interested.

For now.........it is time for me to get into the yard.....plant a few things that I brought home from my gardening job yesterday to replant.........I love that!!! Then off to my third (or is it my fourth) job. Working at Curves and I love it.......I can get you a free week there if you like.......Well, that is if you are a girl......sorry no boys allowed! Give me a call or stop in and see me......I work from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM today........we are closed between 1:00 and 2:00........

A Day Off!!!

Well........it sounds like a day off.......But as usual, Miles to go and promises to keep!

Hopefully today (possibly tomorrow, Friday) we will hear about how the CVB faired in the war with city hall.......they say you can't fight city hall, but we decided to anyway.......keep your fingers crossed!

Today I am going to plant my tomatoes.......provided it warms up past the 36 - 38 degrees that it got down to last night.....I also bought these beautiful petunias that I have to get in a pot. Really, they are the most beautiful flower in the shop. Well, they were in the shop......I think that I bought the last 4 plants in Pocatello and that was only because they are so awesome at Pinehurst Nursery. I will treasure these until the bitter end next fall.

Those of you who know that I go to a Quilt Club every month will be amazed to hear that I actually worked on a project last night! No.......sorry.......not a quilt. A pillow though......with a huge flower in the middle made of individual petals! Like 120 individual petals.......all sewn on one at a time! The tutorial said it could be made it in under 30 minutes.........it took me longer than that to cut out the petals and another 1 and 1/2 hours to sew them on.......Really pretty.......so far. I haven't actually sewn the pillow case together and stuffed it with a pillow! Today though, I promise.......today!!!

Tomorrow we hang the tissue pom poms in the Stephens Center for Performing Arts......All 300 hundred of them. I can hardly wait......it will be beautiful and I promise to post a picture when it is completed. Hopefully I can see it through to completion......I also work at Curves tomorrow afternoon. Good thing....I don't seem to get there unless I am working! Saturday I will be at Cynthia Louise Boutique! I love it there too.........Come see me!!!

10 Little Ducklings All in a Row

Yesterday I was on my way to the rental shop to take back the rototiller......I passed by the movie theater and there was the sweetest picture (too bad that I didn't have my camera) that I have seen in a long time. A whole day care going back to their facility with two leaders. They were all holding onto a rope, in single file with a leader in the front and one in the back. They all had on bright green t-shirts. Can you picture it? They reminded me of little ducklings with their parents crossing the street in front of me! I am still smiling just picturing it.......

Where does the time go?!

Today is Thursday?!

Holy Smoley.......where did the week go? We have had Ben and Ryley here for about a week and a half so there goes some of it....I have worked a day at Curves and when it hasn't been raining I have been doing my gardening job......rototilling flower and tomato gardens......spreading manure and fertilizer......listening to the birds chirp......getting grass stained jeans from spending so much time on my knees.....have I remembered to pray while I am down there......if I haven't, shame on me! Of course, all of the normal household activities like laundry, meals and cleaning never end....Also trying to get the WildHare Summer Festival off the ground. Even city politics make me crazy! There is always a hoop to jump through to make things happen......more on that later when I can divulge the "stuff" ( I probably wouldn't call it "stuff" if we were talking in person!) that has been going on......Onward and upward though......it's all good and I am happy to have a full and fulfilling life.

Last night I was able to spend dinner time with some of my best friends in the world....at church.......took a flashlight walk with the kiddies.....stayed up too late and then I got up too early this AM.......spent an hour googling tomato cages......awesome........I should have gone exercising, but Ryley came out to my office in a sleepy stupor this morning and asked me to not leave him alone out here.....my office......I should call it my retreat, and we do call it the TreeHouse is actually outside.....across a bridge connected to the deck. I love it out here and so does he, but he doesn't like to be out here in the dark which it was when he shuffled on over! So, here I still sit at my computer after about 3 hours of accomplishing little.....I am ready to head to Home Depot (The $100.00 store) and buy PVC for the tomato cages though and they will be worthy of attention and maybe even worthy of being copied!

Add to that painting a wooden wedding cake that we made to serve cupcakes off of at wedding receptions......this bride's mom would like for it to be painted a champagne metalic color.....it was white with pink fleur de lis for the last one........and next week we will go to the Performing Arts Center and somehow (bride's mom says she has it figured out) hang about 300 tissue pompoms (that we made) from the ceiling with fishing line.....should be beautiful.......WOW.....I can hardly wait to see the finished project......Actually, just the thought of a finished project is music to my ears!!!

WildHare Summer Festival

Finally......the contracts are in the mail for the WildHare Summer Festival......whew. It took me at least a month to get my planets lined up. (Remember, Mercury was in retrograde for a long time and I blamed it for everything!) Honestly, I don't know what any of that means, but it is sort of fun........

Anyhoo......this is going to be a great fleamarket/antique sale/festival.......it will be held at the Fort Hall Replica and Frontier Town in upper Ross Park (near the animal shelter for those of you who haven't been there) The dates are July 22, 23, 24......Thursday the 22nd we will be open from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM in conjunction with the Convention and Visitors Bureau hosting the Chamber of Commerce After Hours. Of course, it is open to the public and you are all welcome for sure......Friday we will open at 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM because those are the park hours......Saturday we will open at 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. On Saturday there will be live music and some fun stuff for the kids......Remember that is the morning of the 24th of July parade so come up afterwards......Lots of yummy food to buy.......treats......all manner of food and drink.......Some of the dealer/vendors will be in the Frontier Town buildings and others will have tents set up on the lawns.....I hear that there are going to be some good deals for us!!!

Admission into the FleaMarket is free, but there will be a $5.00 charge to get into the music venue........You should also bring a blanket or a lawn chair to sit on for the concerts. I don't have a line up yet of the bands that will be performing, but they will all be family friendly...If you know anyone who would like to play for almost nothing......just for the publicity.....and to sell their CD's....let me know! I am hoping to have a fun area for the kids as well, with the giant slides, bouncy houses, etc. and there will be a charge for those too.....that will be determined by the vendor.....

I hope to see you there.........Look for me in the parade too......hopefully......I haven't actually signed up yet, but I have been plotting about a cool float.......

We also still have space available if you are a vendor/dealer and would like to participate! I would love to hear from you.........

Rain rain go away....come again some other day!!! Actually, I am grateful for the rain.....free water for my yard and flowers......but it is getting in my way for my summer gardening job!!!

We had a fun time making the pom pom tissue balls last night. I will post a picture sometime so you can see what we have done! I am anxious to see them hanging in the Stephens Performing Arts Center in the Rotunda.......it will be beautiful......

Better get back to my mailing list.......how could anything take this long? I am frustrated.....I feel like Tevia in Fiddler on the Roof when he asks, "So would it have been so terrible if I had a small fortune?" I ask, "Would have it been so terrible to give me a computer guru's mind?" Really, someday I am going to use my computer for more than a glorified typewriter!! Soon! Really!!!

Time to beautify.......it takes a while these days........Ha!

It's another grey day.........

But.....It is a busy day......a funeral this morning.......yuck
Training for working at the polls this afternoon.........I am happy to do my civic duties.
Tonight we have quilt club......where we will be making pom poms out of tissue paper for a friend's daughter's wedding......

All of a sudden it will be Thursday and I will wonder how come I didn't get anything done the day before!!!

Still trying to get my contracts in the mail for the WildHare Summer Festival.....I spent hours getting a new mailing list just the way I wanted it.......then deleted it!
Bummer.........

All through church the sun was shining brightly.....I could hardly wait to come home and lounge in the rays......guess what? The clouds are out now.....darn it.....does that mean that I wasn't listening closely enough?

Planning the WildHare Summer Festival.......I have to get the contracts in the mail tomorrow or else.......lots of details to take care of.....Cory is arranging for live music and some other festivities.....he has great connections with people that I would never be able to find on my own.....I am looking into more activities for kids too......I want this to be more of an event instead of just a fleamarket.......two months to plan always seems adequate until I get to this point and then wonder how I twittered away so much time!!

All is well.........

It has been a great day.......

I woke up in love........

I worked hard all day.......took 740 pounds of yard debris to the dump......made a good dinner....and a good dessert......you gotta love strawberries at this time of year! Made shortcake for the first time ever......not bad.......and of course, whipped cream using the mixer that has changed my life!!!

I am really tired tonight....whew......

As usual though.......visions of sugar plums dancing in my head........

Here is the tomorrow that I worried about yesterday! Doesn't look so bad after all........

Today I am working at Cynthia Louise Boutique for a couple of hours.....Imagine this! Cindy needs my help with her computer stuff!!! Is she desperate........I'd say yes!

Hopefully this afternoon will warm up and I can get to my gardening job and get the spring cleaning done. I know that I have been whining about the cold, but it really has been too cold to want to work outside much......not cold enough to be fun.......just too cold to work! Pretty soon I will have to be getting there in the wee morning hours so that I don't get too hot. Can I ever be happy? Yes..........

My head is spinning with all of the ideas that I have for a new fun event. How does learning some new skills, doing an art project, crafting, eating fun stuff, and spending some great time with "The Girls" sound to you? You are definitely going to want to be on the attendee list for this one. I will keep you posted as to where and when.......

Of course, I have to fit in the WildHare FleaMarket in July........and the one that I am participating in on the 15th of this month at WestWood Mall......and my "I never have enough time to sell my own stuff" sale in the shop behind my house. Oh and a trip to California....we will take Ryley and Ben and then see Ryan, Tucker, Ila, and new baby Lilian who won't be so new by the time I get to see her again! But, imagine......most of my favorite kids all together......Heaven couldn't be any better than that!! Add to that a trip (hopefully) to Reno to see Merry (my sister) and her family.......Then what is a trip to Reno if we can't head over the hill and meet up with my other sisters? Whew.......summer hasn't started and already I have it filled up!!! Already planning a trip to Denver in December to see my brother! Love that family stuff.........

It is taking me longer than usual to pull myself together today........better get back at it......I have high hopes!

One Wild Hare

Today has been an unusual day.....my sis says it is because Mercury is no longer in retrograde. I don't know what that means, but I blame everything on it!!

I look forward to tomorrow.

I have started gardening for my friend again. It is the best job that I have ever had. She is fun to work for......and gives me lots of leeway for when I feel like working! What could be better than that? I am also planning another WildHare FleaMarket for this summer. Yippee.....This one is in conjunction with the Convention & Visitors Bureau here in Pocatello...over the 24th of July weekend. I also need to figure out a float for the parade! Any ideas? I am wayyyy open! I actually have a good idea...I just don't want to spill the beans......Then, I am participating in a fleamarket his Saturday.....at the Westwood Mall.......the following weekend I hope to have my own sale here at my house. Of course, I have been planning it for months!

Tired of the rain and the snow and the cold.........you would think after 30+ years in Idaho I would be used to it by now! Maybe next year.........

Well.....I am new to this blog site......hopefully I can figure out how to cancel my other one! Not that I blogged much.........I plan to do more. Not that I have anything profound to say.....it just feels good to say it anyway!
